10 Ways to increase our Iman (faith)
Every child is born knowing that his or her Lord is Only One, Allah, regardless of what faith his or her parents may practice. But just because a child is born with this fitra, or natural belief, does not necessarily mean that the child will grow up to be what truly makes a person Muslim, which is ones iman.
It is a duty of every Muslim to keep his or her iman in check. This means one must constantly guard his or her iman and observe whether it has increased or decreased and for what causes. If it has decreased, one must work to increase it before it falls low enough to destroy the heart.

Married someone whom parents disapproved of
Question:
I married someone whom my parents disapproved of. Because I was afraid of my father, I did not disclose this to them for 2 months, but then I told them the whole truth and was sorry for not being bold enough to tell them before. My husband is a practicing Muslim with the same ethnicity as me. My father now says he will disown me because of this and has forbidden my mother and sister from meeting me. He says that he does not recognize the marriage and he will not allow any of the children born to this marriage to meet him or my mom. Is this attitude of disowning and abandoning ones child acceptable in Islam? Is there any Qur'anic reference or Hadiths to support your argument?

Non-Muslims do not deserve life. How far is this correct?
Question:
I am an atheist thinking of Islam. I heard that Muslims believe that non-Muslims do not deserve life. How far is this correct?
Answer:
What you heard about Muslims believing that non-Muslims do not deserve life is simply not true. The best proof for that is the Quran, the Book of Islam, which defines what Islam is about, basically.
