Question:

Assalamu alaikum,

I used to sit & pray in the beginning of my pregnancy since I used to feel tired. I heard that we should stand up during Fathiha if we are not very sick. I wasn't too sick & used to walk in the house. What can I do about those prayers? Is it true that the prayers of pregnant women are heard soon?

You may start your prayer standing and then if you cannot continue standing or a doctor told you that this may harm you, you can sit and continue your prayer sitting.

Editor's note: a Muslim has to observe the conditions and pillars of the prayer. Permission to drop any of these is only given in necessary cases and with regard to what a person cannot do. So, any condition or pillar of the prayer you are able to do, you you have to do it and what you cannot you are permitted to leave out. Now, as for what you did out of ignorance, you are not obligated to make them up, but you have to take care in the future.

Second, there is nothing specific concerning the prayers of a pregnant woman.
