Specific prayers or Dua's that will help a couple get pregnant
Question:
Are there any specific prayers or Dua's that will help a couple get pregnant?
Answer:
Although there are no prescribed prayers that we can readily find in the sources for this specific purpose, you can freely make use of any general prayers or supplications from the Qur’an, the Sunnah or from the salaf al-ssalih (pious forbears): So turn to Allah through them, invoke His favour or beseech His mercy. Allah says, ‘Call upon Me, I will answer your prayer” So never despair of Allah’s mercy but pray unceasingly with hope while placing all your trust in Him; perchance He may respond to your prayer.

Husbands request for wifes permission before travelling alone
Question:
If a man is travelling by himself, is he required to seek the permission of his wife before leaving?
Answer:
Islam enjoins husbands to deal with their spouses not whimsically or erratically but in full conformity with standards of kindness, decency and fairness. This has been best summed up in the Quranic imperative: “And deal with them on terms of al-ma’ruf” (Q. 4:19).

Is it permissible a doctor in Islam to accept gifts from pharmaceutical companies?
Question:
Dear sheikh Assalamu alaikum,
My Husband is a doctor. There are a lot of pharmaceutical companies that offer certain gifts in the form of household appliances, sponsor air tickets or lavish dinner parties and sometimes cheques. In return, they would want the doctor to prescribe their brand of medicines to their patients. I would like to know if it is permissible in Islam to accept such gifts.

Is taking a shower the same thing as making wudhu?
Question:
Is taking a shower the same thing as making wudhu? I have been told that taking a shower only does not substitute for wudhu in the Hanafi School of Jurisprudence. Therefore, a person must make wudhu separately and if he does not do so, his salah is not valid. Is this true?
