Verse
14 مَّرْفُوعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍ Exalted, purified,
15 بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ (Set down) by scribes
16 كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ Noble and righteous.
17 قُتِلَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا أَكْفَرَهُ Man is (self) destroyed: how ungrateful!
18 مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ From what thing doth He create him?
19 مِن نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُ فَقَدَّرَهُ From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him,
20 ثُمَّ السَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُ Then maketh the way easy for him,
21 ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُ فَأَقْبَرَهُ Then causeth him to die, and burieth him;
22 ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاء أَنشَرَهُ Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life.
23 كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُ Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him.
24 فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ إِلَى طَعَامِهِ Let man consider his food:
25 أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَاء صَبّاً How We pour water in showers
26 ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْأَرْضَ شَقّاً Then split the earth in clefts
