Verse
8
وَأَمَّا مَن بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَى
Dan adapun orang-orang yang bakhil dan merasa dirinya cukup [1581],[1581] Yang dimaksud dengan "merasa dirinya cukup" ialah tidak memerlukan lagi pertolongan Allah dan tidak bertakwa kepada-Nya.

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَى
maka Kami kelak akan menyiapkan baginya jalan yang mudah.

وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَى
dan membenarkan adanya pahala yang terbaik (syurga),

فَأَمَّا مَن أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى
Adapun orang yang memberikan (hartanya di jalan Allah) dan bertakwa,

إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّى
sesungguhnya usaha kamu memang berbeda-beda.

وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَى
dan penciptaan laki-laki dan perempuan,
2
وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّى
dan siang apabila terang benderang,

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى
Demi malam apabila menutupi (cahaya siang),
