Today more than 2 million moeslem around the world flock in together in mount arafat.  Today on 9th Dhul-Hijjah is considered as the highlight of the Hajj, this ritual call wukuf in arafat.

Wukuf in arafat is an event where pilgrim stay in mount arafat. Pilgrims must spend the afternoon within a defined area on the plain of Arafat until after sunset using ihram clothes. No specific rituals or prayers are required during the stay at Arafat. Pilgrim suggested to contemplating, self introspection, dikir, praying and asking for forgiveness to all sins and fallibilty what we have done.

Wukuf in arafat become duplication of  condition in mahsyar plain later. When humankind from Prophet Adam until End of time conferred together before they decide where they should go, could be heaven or could be hell. It is exactly the same condition when pilgrim had wukuf, they dress in same clothes and under the sun while they  remembering every good and bad act they have done during their life. Wukuf in arafat is barometer of life in the hereafter.

Last verse of Qur'an sura Al-Maidah verse 3 relegated to Prophet Muhammad when he had wukuf in Arafat. He impart khotbah, in that khotbah God relegated the last verse of Qoran. People call hajj in that year as hajj wada' (parting hajj).

So many glory and added value from wukuf in Arafat, hopefully we (pilgrim) can through it well dan hopefully we (not yet a pilgrim) give a chance once in a life time in the rest our life time. AMIN.
