In the UK like other western country insuring car, properties, home is compulsory. Is it allowed for us to work in such insurance company or start a business to sell insurance policy like a broker?

While it is permissible to buy insurance in these courtiers, where there are no Islamic insurance/Takaful companies, we should notice that conventional insurance companies transactions are heavily based on interest. Therefore, if you can avoid doing any interest-based transaction it is permissible to work in such companies. They of course have jobs that do not require you to do any interest transactions.

Same principle applies to insurance brokers; it is permissible provided you avoid selling insurance contracts that rely heavily on interest such as whole life insurance.
