Ayat
14 وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubba: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.
15 أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.
16 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ We verily created a man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
17 إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left,
18 مَا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready.
19 وَجَاءتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun.
20 وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day.
21 وَجَاءتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness
22 لَقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ (And unto the evil doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day.
23 وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ And (unto the evil doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).
24 أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate,
25 مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,
26 الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom.

Quran 10:24

24

إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَاء أَنزَلْنَاهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهِ نَبَاتُ الأَرْضِ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ النَّاسُ وَالأَنْعَامُ حَتَّىَ إِذَا أَخَذَتِ الأَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَازَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَا أَنَّهُمْ قَادِرُونَ عَلَيْهَا أَتَاهَا أَمْرُنَا لَيْلاً أَوْ نَهَاراً فَجَعَلْنَاهَا حَصِيداً كَأَن لَّمْ تَغْنَ بِالأَمْسِ كَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

The similitude of the life of the world is only as water which We send down from the sky, then the earth's growth of that which men and cattle eat mingleth with it till, when the earth hath taken on her ornaments and is embellished, and her people deem that they are masters of her, Our commandment cometh by night or by day and we make it as reaped corn as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We expound the revelations for people who reflect.
