Ayat
47 وَالسَّمَاء بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ We have built the heaven with might, and We it is who make the vast extent (thereof).
46 وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْماً فَاسِقِينَ And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk.
45 فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنتَصِرِينَ And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves.
44 فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed;
43 وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّى حِينٍ And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile.
42 مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust.
41 وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ And in (the tribe of) Aad (there is a portent) when We sent the fatal wind against them.
40 فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate
39 فَتَوَلَّى بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman.
38 وَفِي مُوسَى إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant,
37 وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom.
36 فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah).
35 فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ Thee We brought forth such believers as were there.
